To one of my dog, a Great Dane of 16 months, has been discovered an alimentary intolerance caused by malassimilation. After checking many products, with no result, the veterinarian recommended me to feed my dog with Trainer® Top Breeder Power Adult Rabbit. May I feed it with an adult formula or is there the risk to compromise its growth? |

A giant size puppy generally completes his growth between 16 and 24 months, and during the first half of this period he grows very quickly, joining the 50% of its adult weight, and after that it will live a more quite phase of growth. Fortunately your “big puppy” has just passed the fastest growing phase, so a kind of food made for an adult physiological stage, if it doesn't cause malassimilation, should be sufficient to support its nutritional needs. Anyway it is important to continue to subdivide the nourishment in three meals per day, avoiding an excessive filling of the gastrointestinal system, reducing in this way the risk of dilatation or torsion of the stomach. |
